Founding Story
EcoMatcher was founded by Bas Fransen in 2016 with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between sustainability and business through transparency and technology. After discovering that corporations hesitated to support tree-planting due to a lack of traceability, Bas assembled a team of technologists and designers to build a platform where every tree is geotagged, photographed, and fully documented. Today, EcoMatcher enables companies to integrate reforestation into their strategy—transforming gifting, rewards, and carbon offsetting into measurable impact.
