What is a Tree Persona?

Tree Personas, a new Nature Interface, let people engage with their trees in their own language through distinct digital personalities. Companies can select personas when gifting trees, allowing recipients to virtually visit their tree in TreeTracker 3D, engage with their tree in their own language through TreeChat+, and learn about its growth, environment, and impact. Tree Personas build on EcoMatcher’s earlier TreeChat, which introduced chatbot-powered tree conversations in English. The persona shapes how the tree communicates — curious, grounded, or reflective — while the environmental data, location, and impact remain authentic.

Tree Personas help companies make tree gifting and sustainability engagement more personal, interactive, and memorable.

Introducing EcoMatcher’s Tree Personas

EcoMatcher introduces three standard Tree Personas that companies can choose when gifting trees. Each persona offers a distinct way for people to connect with their tree while the underlying tree data remains authentic. Tree Personas can be assigned in EcoMatcher’s TreeManager.

The three standard Tree Personas are:

• Twiggles – A young, curious tree highlighting small discoveries in nature and early growth.
• Oakly – A grounded, thoughtful tree sharing insights about ecosystems and environmental balance.
• Seren – A calm, reflective tree encouraging deeper connections with nature.

Companies can also collaborate with EcoMatcher to develop custom Tree Personas reflecting their brand values, sustainability commitments, or storytelling, see below.

Companies can create custom Tree Personas aligned with their brand voice, offering employees, customers, or partners to learn a unique way to learn about your brand, trees, and nature — always grounded in real, planted trees.
