EcoMatcher is a global TreeTech company that helps businesses integrate transparent, engaging tree planting into their sustainability strategies.

Through our technology platform, companies can plant trees and forests with vetted planting partners, track every tree, and engage customers, employees, and other stakeholders through gifting, rewards, loyalty programs, events, and transparent carbon removal projects through TREES+.

Every tree is digitally connected to information such as its location, planting date, species, photograph, and the person who planted it, making tree planting more transparent, measurable, and meaningful.

Our Story

EcoMatcher was founded on a simple belief: sustainability and business can grow together.

The idea began when Founder and CEO Bas Fransen discovered that many companies wanted to support tree planting but were held back by limited transparency and few meaningful ways to integrate tree planting into their business and stakeholder engagement. EcoMatcher was created to address both challenges.

Bas brought together a team of technologists, designers, and sustainability professionals and began building partnerships with trusted tree-planting organizations around the world. The result is a global TreeTech platform that enables companies to plant trees and forests, follow their impact, and engage customers, employees, and communities.

Today, EcoMatcher helps organizations turn sustainability ambitions into transparent, measurable, and engaging action, one tree and one forest at a time.

Our Team

Bas Fransen

CEO

After graduating from Delft University of Technology and serving as an officer in the Royal Dutch Navy, Bas held executive roles at Philips Consumer Electronics, Philips Semiconductors, IBM Technology, and ASML before beginning his entrepreneurial career. He has lived and worked in Asia for more than 25 years, including in Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Alvin Junianto Lan

CTO

Alvin has extensive experience developing software platforms and technology startups in Indonesia. A graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), he leads the development of EcoMatcher’s global TreeTech platform as Chief Technology Officer.

Jovian Christianto

Senior Software Engineer

Jovian is a Senior Software Engineer at EcoMatcher with a strong background in web applications and systems design. He is a graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).

Kevin Setiawan

Quality Engineer

A computer science graduate of Monash University Malaysia, Kevin is responsible for quality assurance, incoming data verification, and the development of EcoMatcher’s operational processes and standard operating procedures.

Reza Erdiansyah

UI/UX Designer

Reza has more than ten years of experience in UI/UX and graphic design for web and mobile applications. He focuses on creating clear, intuitive experiences across EcoMatcher’s technology platform.

Wei Sukianto

Software Engineer

Wei has a strong background in systems architecture and back-end software engineering. With more than five years of experience, he focuses on applying machine learning and artificial intelligence across EcoMatcher’s technology platform.

Hengky

Software Engineer

A graduate of STMIK LIKMI University in Bandung, Hengky has a degree in operating systems and networking and has worked in both startups and consultancies. His broad technical experience includes Linux, Docker, PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce, Jira, and Bitbucket.

Karming Lai

CMO

Before joining EcoMatcher, Karming developed and managed corporate marketing and events teams for global organizations. Her experience spans branding and communications, marketing strategy, strategic planning, and the delivery of high-profile international events.

Software Engineer

Arleen is an ITB graduate and award-winning innovator with experience in mobile and front-end development, UI/UX design, and AI-driven solutions. She builds user-centered technology that helps EcoMatcher create meaningful impact.

Clyve Lo-A-Njoe

Cyber Security Officer

Clyve has more than ten years of experience in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and phishing prevention. He is responsible for protecting EcoMatcher’s global technology platform and maintaining a secure environment for customers, partners, and employees.

Santi Gunawan

Illustrator

With more than seven years of experience, Santi brings ideas to life through illustration, UI design, branding, and animation. She transforms complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals while maintaining EcoMatcher’s consistent and thoughtful visual identity.
